Lady of Leisure

I'm officially terrible at this blog thing...it's really hard to get into the habit of writing every single day...especially because I really don't think my life is that exciting, so I find it extremely hard to believe that others read this nonsense.

But yesterday was my second day off (of three days off)and I had a very successful day. I stocked up on new work clothes...and I'm happy to report that ALMOST everything was on sale...I bought one blazer that was full price. But it would've been a perfect shopping experience if that one stupid, adorable navy pinstripe blazer from Banana Republic was on sale...but oh well, it wasn't and I loved it, so I bought it. Along with the suit skirt, shoes, pants, tops..you get the idea.

After my shopping experience I came home to wrap the remainder of Christmas presents...I LOVE WRAPPING PRESENTS. I actually started thinking about renting out my services to those who despise wrapping, because it's just wrong for someone to hate something that brings me so much joy...renting myself out would be a win win...that also could be considered wrapping prostitution, but that's a debate for another day. I have pictures of my beautiful presents, I'll post them later! I also got to give two special little people in my life their presents yesterday...it's so fun to be the one to break all the rules with them (I've been babysitting them since I was 12...the oldest is now 13...I'm old). Their mom came home and said "Meredith, you let them open their presents!?!?! It's not even a week before Christmas!??!?!" ...Sorry! They loved them and it was completely worth it. It's torture to leave a present in front of someone with their name on the little tag and expect them to wait..I wouldn't.

This is my last day as a lady of leisure...I'm going to get a haircut and find NYE shoes...then go watch a 6-8th grade basketball game. The same 13 year old from above is actually a really good basketball player (her mom played in college)and I can't wait to watch her lead the team as an 8th grader.
