Super Bowl Weekend

YAY Packers! Now most of us know I am not a Packers fan, nor will I ever be a Pittsburg fan, I love the other team that starts with a "P"...But there is something about Aaron Rodgers that really had me cheering for him. I don't know if it's his 'boy nextdoor' attitude, or the fact that he was pretty young and still had the confidence to put on the fake 'champion belt'...but I like the kid.

This weekend was an interesting one...C had a girls only Super Bowl Extravaganza in NYC. The four of us got super dressed up and went out to dinner at La Esquina (that's right, you've probably never heard of it because you have to be 'referred' by someone else who's been there...and C's husband has connections all over this freaking country, so we got in...yay for us!). Beyonce is known for being a loyal customer, but there were no sightings of her and Jay. We then attempted to go to Gold Bar, but they weren't open yet (which made us felt like we were 68) so we went to an Italian restaurant for sangria (couldn't stop the flow of alcohol...). Then we went to Gold Bar where we were the first and only people in the bar for a good hour...we had a private room and table service and it was really fun to feel like I was living in Gossip Girl. We then went to Buddakan and had drinks called 'Charm' and 'Lust'...don't ask. We then went to a roof top bar where we cut the line of about 56 people and asked the bouncer if we had to wait in the line, he didn't answer us and asked for ID's...oh the beauty of being female. After 2 "girly fruity drinks" each (that's how we ordered them) it was pizza time. Then bedtime and then maybe the most memorable part, hangover time. I think I reached the epitome of class by puking in a Bloomingdales bathroom and then buying Tory Burch sandals, oh the life of a fashionista.

I did learn a few lessons from all of this though: 1. always look your best, you never know when you're going to have to cut a line 2. girls nights never get old, even when you're ages 24-26 3. I am too old to be mixing alcohols, I did party with the best for 4 years of my life, yet somehow that lesson got lost on me and 4. Super Bowl Eve is the new Thanksgiving Eve...watch out world, I've created a new holiday!

Happy Monday, all!
