Good Morning, New York!

So it's for all intensive purposes April and it's snowing AND it's sticking...WTF Mother Nature!?!? This is an actual picture people!

Yesterday was a fabulous day, not only is my company's entire C team on a trip, but I met up with Deb and Elis from my old job for drinks after work. Let me just tell you that I saw them and cried. Actual tears! I miss my old job SO much...It's not that I hate my new job, but I was MUCH happier at the old one. I just wish I could take my current salary and move it to my previous job. (my mom asked me to remove that...see, I listen!)...It was very weird being back in my old building and seeing people that were at one point, so familiar to me.

But let me just explain to you the chain of events: First of all, Elis picked a bar that looked like it belonged in Tijuana. (See Picture Below)

The walls were primary colors and there was a pipe screwed to the door as a handle and the bathroom light was a lamp with no shade...labeled "Bano" and it was unisex...you get the picture. To make it even funnier Deb is pretty religious and doesn't drink...EVER, we actually walked into the bar and she said "I haven't been in a bar since law school" (mind you, she's married with two children now)...talk about taking the poor woman out of her comfort zone! So when we got to the bar, me, the resident alchi had to pick a drink for her...I chose the yummy Malibu Bay Breeze and I think I did a good job, she even slurped it at the end! Momma Deb had to go home and take care of the babies (which was only allowed because her children are the most adorable children on the planet with red curly hair) and Elis and I stayed and drank a pitcher of sangria...MmM.

I forgot how much fun going to work everyday used to be...we were talking about co-workers and there are some people I really miss! There are also people that I don't miss...and won't ever miss...haha.

What I learned from my drink date with these two nuts:
  1. When you're in an office with 1939598 women and 3 men, the gossip never stops...there's always someone 'pregnant' or sleeping around or fighting with someone else. It's MUCH funnier now that I know none of it is about me.
  2. Even though I haven't been in the office in 4 months, I'm still being brought up in not very nice conversations that really have nothing to do with me...this boggles my mind because people are supposed to be adults and I LEFT...get over it!
  3. My FAVORITE is that Elis is STILL trying to set me up with people that she thinks I "would be cute with"...I've been gone for almost 4 months and it's still her life's mission to see me with someone from the office...the girl is just too much.
Happy Hump Day!

I found the Queen on Twitter!

Oh the nostalgia. I just went back and read all of my blog posts and laughed at almost all of them...even if none of you think I'm funny, at least I crack myself up! But the real reason I had to re-read them all is because I am officially following The Queen of LA on twitter (you can search for her, @queenjord)...and if she decides to read my blog, I have to make sure it's up to par (it's not...at all, but hey, we all start somewhere).

In other news...
The Big East Tournament starts today...LETS GOOOOOOOOO ORANGE! How could someone not love my little walking and talking Orange. I love me some Otto! Also a big congrats to Rick Jackson for winning Big East Defensive Player of the Year...it was well deserved my friend. Now on to the quarter finals at the Garden!!

Wow...

So how excited was I when I went to follow the Hanky Panky Blog and all of a sudden realized that I had 2 new comments?! Blogspot promptly reminded me to check them for spam, so I was convinced that it would say "Want to live chat...Click here"...but it wasn't spam at all! It was Ms. Blog herself leaving me 2 comments on different posts! This is why I love Christine, as she is one of the most supportive people I have ever met (minus the 'don't move in with your ex boyfriend that you still sometimes sleep with' comment...but even then, she has my best interest at heart). You know what makes me more excited than blog comments? Drinking with friends (and random strangers, obv) and it's almost the best day of the year to do that....HOBOKEN ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!!!!!!!! The above picture is from last year and I have no idea who those people are, but they look like they're having a good time! And lucky for all (10) of you, you're getting a sneak peak of my outfit for this years extravaganza (it's the one on the right):

So look for me in Hoboken, NJ in my neon green onesie...I'll probably be alone on a street corner because my friends aren't going to want to be seen with me...but oh well, that's where the strangers come in! Actual pictures to come after Saturday's festivities!
